I was told by a universalist fake heathen that I am a hypocrite for allowing Slavic people to join us for blot. He was basically having a go at me in regards to being folkish. In his eyes Slavic people are not part of our folk? Obviously, I just laughed at him and blocked him so I didn't have to read any more of his 20 odd msgs that kept beeping on my pc lol.
Here is a little food for thought for those who question if the European folk are truly connected and share a common root heritage as I often talk about on this page.
Norwegian word for water is "Vann" and the Scandinavian name for Slavic people were "Vani" because our Aryan ancestors came down the rivers to populate the North of Europe (Germanic / Celtic lands) from where the Slavic people now live. We spread across Europe traveling along and forming colonies and towns throughout the great river systems of Europe. The rivers were the highways of ancient times.
Indeed, the area where the Slavic people now live is the main birthplace of the European man and Aryan culture / language. It is from here that our P.I.E. ancestors spread out across Europe mixing with the WHG folk who were pretty much the same anyway - forming all the main tribes of Europe. A chad bunch if there ever was one!! Sadly some of our ancestors also went outside of Europe to places like iran and India never to be heard from again though leaving language and culture in their wake.
For Odinists who have studied the Edda's, we will be very familiar with the family of Gods called the Vanir. Ingvi Freyr, Freya, Njord and Kvasir being among them. Look again at the Norwegian name for water and Scandinavian name for the Slavic people 'Vann & Vani' and come to your own conclusions.......
Think about how ingvi Freyr is lord of the elves / dead. Think about how some kings were buried in great ships like Sutton Hoo under huge burial mounds or the famous burning ships at sea. Think of the ancient 5000 year old petroglyphs of the spirit ships and solar cross carved and painted onto rocks all across Scandinavia. Think about the Nordic boat culture. So many of our practices involve placing weapons, jewls and even bodies in water ceremoniously. Look at how many rivers, forests with rivers and other bodies of water are named after the Gods. Water is even a doorway to the hidden world for those that can traverse it.
Remember, more of our history has been lost or stolen than we will ever know. The connections between the main tribes of Europe run deep and ancient. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
